Last July, the famous actor Alain Delon reportedly exclaimed: "I want to die, life is over." The statement was reportedly made during a medical visit to his historic residence in Douchy, in the south of France.

Delon, 88 , showed signs of significant weakening after suffering a stroke in 2019. According to the general practitioner who examined him, communication was difficult and the actor's feedback was inconsequential, often limited to a nod or a thumbs-up. "A state of physical and mental exhaustion emerged, with an increased risk of suicide ," the doctor noted, as reported by the newspaper Le Parisien.

The visit was in connection with an investigation into complaints of mistreatment and abuse of an incapacitated person, filed by the actor's children , Anouchka, Anthony, and Alain-Fabien . These accusations were directed at Hiromi Rollin , 66, Delon's longtime assistant and then alleged ex-partner.

Also in July, Delon was questioned by the gendarmes of the Orléans section . During this interview, the French cinema icon showed further signs of physical decline, unable to form complete sentences, displaying difficulty moving, and becoming dependent on crutches. When Hiromi Rollin's behavior was mentioned, Delon reportedly responded with the "middle finger" gesture.

Delon claimed that Rollin dreamed of becoming "Madame Delon ." According to the actor, her great failure was marriage. Delon shared with the gendarmes how Rollin constantly urged him to marry her, to the point that he no longer wanted to see her.

Investigators, in a report dated December 5, noted that Delon has been "notoriously weak since January 2022." The results of a recently commissioned medical report are awaited, following weeks of public and legal wrangling among family members.

In January, Delon's sons , Anthony and Alain-Fabien, in conflict with their sister Anouchka, filed for legal guardianship for their father , citing his incapacity. Anouchka, on the other hand, wants to move her father to Switzerland , where she lives.

Anthony and Alain-Fabien claim that Anouchka , accused of wanting to move him to Switzerland primarily to evade inheritance taxes, is manipulating their father . She counters by accusing her brothers of putting their father's life at risk, assuring them that in Switzerland he would have access to more adequate medical care.

In an interview with the Swiss newspaper Le Matin, Anthony stated that his father is not left without care, being cared for by a highly competent doctor. He and his brother Alain-Fabien also expressed their desire to respect their father's wishes to spend his final days in Douchy.
