The Civil Protection of the Campania Region has extended the current yellow weather alert for a further 12 hours until 5 am tomorrow, Tuesday 9 January, limited to zones 1 (Piana Campana, Naples, Islands, Vesuvian Area), 3 (Sorrento-Amalfi Coast, Monti di Sarno and Monti Picentini), 5 (Tusciano and Alto Sele), 6 (Piana Sele and Alto Cilento), 8 (Basso Cilento).
Isolated rainfall and a localized hydrogeological risk are still expected in these areas, with possible rises in water levels, rockfall, and landslides due to soil saturation or fragile land conditions, even in the absence of rain.
