The violent Angri football fan who on January 14, at the end of the Angri-Matera football match, injured the commander of the local Carabinieri station, who intervened to prevent violent contact between the two sets of fans, has been arrested.
Today, a few days later, Angri, the military personnel of the Nocera Inferiore territorial department, at the end of a rapid investigation, executed an arrest warrant issued by the Nocera Inferiore prosecutor's office against a 21-year-old resident in the Nocera Sarnese countryside.
The charges are of violence or threat to a public official in competition, aggravated personal injury in competition, possession of weapons or objects capable of offending. The 21-year-old was accompanied to the Salerno-Fuorni prison.
In the hours following the incident, the mayor of Angri, Cosimo Ferraioli, had entrusted his message of solidarity to the attacked commander on social media and had asked that “the attackers should come forward on their own.”
