A 24-year-old Eastern European man implicated in the murder of 14-year-old Alexandru Ivan turned himself in to the Carabinieri authorities accompanied by two lawyers yesterday evening.
According to the investigation, he was not present at the club during the fight between Alex's mother's partner and another young man that took place on Friday night. However, investigators claim that he had telephone contacts to arrange a meeting to resolve the situation.
The Carabinieri believe that the twenty-four-year-old was inside the car from which the shots were fired along with three other men, one of whom has been fully identified and involved in the fight in the bar, and has been untraceable since the moments following the murder.
In the 48 hours following the murder, the investigation used witness statements, video surveillance and technical evidence to reconstruct the events leading up to the young victim's tragic death.
The argument in the bar on Via Casilina between the 29-year-old Romanian partner of the minor's mother and another young man from Eastern Europe was decisive. After leaving the place, the Romanian contacted the XNUMX-year-old now under arrest to resolve the issue, leading to the subsequent meeting in the parking lot, which however took an unexpected course.
The occupants of a car opened fire on the group in the parking lot, firing several shots, one of which fatally hit the 14-year-old.
The three accomplices are being sought
According to the current state of the findings, inside the vehicle there were the 24-year-old stopped and three other subjects (one of whom was fully identified, who had also participated in the dispute inside the bar, untraceable and wanted since the moments following the homocide).
The 24-year-old had presented himself yesterday evening to the Carabinieri, accompanied by his two trusted lawyers. Following the interrogation, the arrest warrant was issued. The investigation is still ongoing.
