The State Police arrested a 48-year-old man of Neapolitan origins, suspected of being one of those responsible for an aggravated robbery carried out in collaboration with other accomplices.
The episode occurred on the afternoon of January 12, when the man and two accomplices, still unidentified, disguised and armed with a gun, attacked a post office in the area of Arenaccia, threatening employees and customers and taking away cash.
The operation to identify the suspect was possible thanks to the analysis of public and private video surveillance systems by the Naples Flying Squad, which identified the man through the Post Office footage.
The arrested man, already known to the authorities for specific precedents, was at that time subjected to alternative measures to detention.
After being tracked down on the street, he was taken to the local police headquarters for the usual procedures and subsequently taken to the Poggioreale prison.
