During the Provincial Committee for Public Order and Safety at arzano, chaired by the prefect of Naples Michele di Bari, strategies were outlined aimed at strengthening the prevention and fight against common and organized crimes.
The mayor Vincenza Aruta, together with the councilors for Security of the Municipality of Naples and Arzano, the prosecutor of Naples North, Maria Antonietta Troncone and the heads of the provincial police forces, participated in the meeting.
The situation of public order and safety was analyzed, with a slight increase in the crime rate for some types of crimes compared to 2022. Law enforcement agencies ensured constant attention and an increase in prevention and fight against common and organized crime, focusing on strategic areas.
The mayor underlined the importance of institutional collaboration and with local industrial entities, highlighting the efforts to equip the city with technological video surveillance devices, particularly in the historic center.
He also mentioned the 'New City House' project, funded by the PNRR, which involves the renovation of the town hall with the creation of spaces for the community and young people, in order to promote the quality of life and the urban environment.
The prefect highlighted the importance of transparency and the need for an agreement involving institutions and local businesses to improve the level of protection of the territory, involving the economic and industrial partnership.
