Arzano. Crime emergency: the Prefect of Naples Michele Di Bari calls a round table on public order and security. The mayor herself announced it Aruta in a statement after having branded the episodes as "physiological" and "endemic" thus downplaying the significance of the criminal events.
After the escalation of thefts that affected dozens of shopkeepers and citizens, the Prefect, given the alarm raised by journalists and citizens and received by the opposition councilors who had asked for an urgent city council, has called a round table on security for tomorrow, January 18, opening a focus on Arzano.
The meeting will be attended by leaders of the Carabinieri, the State Police, the Guardia di Finanza, the DiA (Italian Anti-Mafia Investigation Department), the GICO (Italian Anti-Mafia Investigation Committee), and the heads of the Naples and North Naples prosecutor's offices. The discussions will address several issues related to the municipality, both in terms of security and combating illegal activities, given that the municipal body has been dissolved three times for mafia influence in the last 10 years.
To ask for the intervention of the Prefect Anti-Camorra Committee for Legality, launched by Sandro Ruotolo, Paul Siani and the Bishop of Naples Domenico Battaglia.
