Arzano – Local shopkeepers still in the crosshairs, last night yet another burglary at the “Eugenio Caffè” bar (pictured).
Prefect Michele Di Bari after the complaint of the Anti-Camorra Committee for Legality in contact with the top brass of the Arma. The wave of crimes in the city does not stop and the bar "Eugenio Caffè" has been targeted again in just a few weeks.
They went into action on Friday around 03:00 on the central Via Napoli, after having broken down the entrance shutter (just repaired) and they stole the only cash register worth about 4000 euros. A dramatic situation despite the unfortunate reassurances of the mayor of arzano, Vincenza Aruta who highlighted the groundlessness of the crime alarm by branding the episodes as "physiological" and "petty" crime.

Just the night before last, it was the turn of the bar “Vi.Mi.” on via Volpicelli. The thieves first smashed the windows with a car as a battering ram and then broke into the bar, taking away approximately 7000 euros in stolen goods. Just a few hours before the latest theft, the windows of a shop on via Pecchia had been smashed.
A roundtable on Public Order and Security has been called for next week
A relentless escalation that has already targeted the "HotDog" sandwich shop on Via Sette Re, the Leopollo and Mister Chicken pizzerias, the "Eugenio Caffè" bar, and a "Luan" clothing store on Via Sette Re. This unusual yet serious sequence of thefts may be "hiding" the 167 clan's attempt to intimidate shopkeepers in order to impose protection money. Meanwhile, following the criminal escalation, a meeting on Public Order and Security is scheduled for next week.
