Arzano. The final event of the Experiential Writing Workshop of women victims of violence took place this morning in the auditorium of the Don Geremia Piscopo school in Via Napoli. They told the story of the journey they have undertaken in recent months and, above all, listened to the words of the women who participated in the project, fundamental witnesses of the work of the anti-violence center.
During the event, the video “Narrarsi per Conoscirersi” (Narrating Yourself to Recognize Yourself) by Ilaria Scognamiglio Artistic Performance and the singer-songwriter Flo was screened. Speakers included Gerardina Speranza, President of “Associazione Donne Insieme APS”, Caterina Credendino, President of Mo.Vi. Campania, Cinzia Aruta, Mayor of the city of arzano, Maria Teresa Abate, Councilor for Culture of the Municipality and Carmela Ferrara Headmaster of the ISS Don Geremia Piscopo.
Speakers at the event: Valeria Valente, Senator of the Republic and member of the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry on femicide and Rosa Cerciello, criminal lawyer. Also present were Eleonora De Nardis, Journalist and Writer and Flo, Singer-songwriter and Writer.
The event recorded the reading of true stories written by women leaving the anti-violence center, entrusted to the journalists of the cultural project Mis(s}conosciute: Silvia Scognamiglio, Maria Lucia Schito, Giulia Morelli Broni. Some writings were entrusted to the reading of some students in the person of Samuele Canzonieri, Filippo D'Angelo, Federica Pia Di Girolamo and Giusy Ferone.
The psychotherapist Palma D'Errico moderated the works. “Donne Insieme” supports and accompanies women victims of male violence (counseling; legal and psychological support).
The founders: Dina, Maria Teresa, Rosalba, Maria, Anna Maria, Pina, Clementina and Michaela, are women with different life and professional paths, who felt the need to build a "place of freedom" open to all women, a space to give physicality to an ambitious project in the interest of the victims of violence who are now increasingly numerous.
