The Metropolitan Police of Napoli seized a car repair shop which was found to be completely illegal in the municipality of domicella, in the province of Avellino, close to the metropolitan area of NapoliDuring the inspection, the officers coordinated by Commander Lucia Rea noted the lack of any operating permit or the required environmental authorizations.
The quantity of untraceable waste stored inside the business was huge, mainly composed of ferrous material resulting from illegal operations. The seizure was carried out, in addition to the criminal one, also administrative for the purpose of confiscation. In addition, two specimens of siskins illegally held in cages were found inside the business. This is a particularly protected species of birds and their possession, without the required authorizations, is punishable by law.
The officers and agents then proceeded to release the birds on the spot, in the open countryside. Some dogs were also found in cages without the required registration in the canine registry. The operations were carried out as part of the “Action Day Terra dei Fuochi” program, which has been conducted for some time in the territory and thanks to the synergy developed between the Metropolitan Police command, the Public Prosecutor's Office and the Prefectures.
