The Carabinieri of the San Salvatore Telesino Station, in the province of Benevento, at the conclusion of the investigations and following a complaint from a citizen for online fraud, they reported a 42-year-old from Taranto, already known to the police.
The man, after posting a fake rental ad for an apartment in Parma on Facebook, deceived the victim. Attracted by the reasonable price and encouraged to close the deal quickly so as not to miss out, the victim sent the total sum of €1.200 via two bank transfers.
The woman, later realizing that she had been defrauded because the man was unavailable, went to the Carabinieri to report the incident.
