Today, in the presence of the Minister for Disability Alessandra Locatelli, was signed at Caivano an agreement between the Municipality, represented by the commander of the Municipal Expedited Lily, and the Red Cross.
The person who signed the agreement was the head of the Naples North Committee, Giambattista Ganzerli, to start the transport service for disabled students.
The Government Extraordinary Commissioner, Fabio Ciciliano, explained that Lep funds were used for this project. The signing of the agreement was accompanied by the presence of the president of Red Cross Campania, Stephen Tancredi, who said he was “proud to contribute to the relaunch of this area, providing assistance to disabled children who are often deprived of services that are considered normal elsewhere”.
The service, dedicated to disabled pupils in primary, secondary (formerly elementary and middle) and high schools, will be managed by the Red Cross. The Committee of Napoli Nord, with registered office in Casavatore, will take care of the service with its own means, which "will start - explains Ganzerli - as soon as the requests from the families of students with disabilities are collected; so far about ten requests have arrived".
A municipal transport service for disabled students was already present in previous years, but it worked inefficiently. Today, with the Municipality dissolved and placed under special administration due to Camorra infiltration, the historic Red Cross association is the one that guarantees its provision. Furthermore, an Italian Red Cross office is expected to open soon in Parco Verde.
