This weather pattern could also bring hail, lightning, and strong winds. Attention should be paid to the hydrogeological risk associated with thunderstorms: the main consequences of precipitation impact on the ground include flooding, rising water levels in rivers, water flow along roads, runoff carrying debris, rockfall, and landslides due to particularly fragile soil conditions.
In view of the gusts of wind and possible hailstorms, it is recommended to pay attention to the correct maintenance of public green spaces and mobile and temporary structures exposed to stress. Municipalities are reminded to activate the COC (Municipal Operations Centers) and to implement all measures aimed at preventing, countering and mitigating the expected phenomena, in line with the respective municipal civil protection plans.
