The Campania Civil Protection Department has extended the validity of the yellow-level weather alert for rain and thunderstorms until 17 p.m. tomorrow, Monday, January 8, throughout the region.
The need to pay attention to hydrogeological risks even in the absence of precipitation is emphasized, with potential consequences such as flooding, rising water levels in watercourses, water flow on roads, runoff carrying debris, rockfall, and landslides related to particularly fragile soil conditions or saturated soil.

The Civil Protection recommends that Mayors keep the Municipal Operations Centers (COC) active and adopt all necessary measures to prevent, counter and mitigate expected events, in accordance with their respective municipal civil protection plans.
