In Gricignano d'Aversa, in the province of Caserta, a dog was found tied with a rope to a street sign post on the sidewalk, deprived of food and water, until it lost its life due to strangulation.
The complaint was filed by several citizens who documented the incident. The tragic episode was discovered by a passerby who, unfortunately, was unable to save the animal.
The deputy of the Green-Left alliance, Francesco Emilio Borrelli, expressed his indignation by stating that the person responsible for this “barbaric and inhuman” act must be identified and prosecuted.
Borrelli stressed the need to make changes to the laws to punish those who commit acts of cruelty towards animals. This latest brutality towards animals has provoked a strong reaction from the community and institutions, who are calling for decisive intervention to stop such cowardly acts.
