An 82-year-old man tragically died after falling from the balcony of his home in Caposele, in the province of Avellino, ending up directly in the river below.
The Naples 118 air rescue service intervened at the scene of the accident with a CNSAS helicopter rescuer, nurse and doctor, who, unfortunately, could only certify the death.
The Alpine Rescue team of the Guardia di Finanza of Sant'Angelo dei Lombardi was immediately activated by the CNSAS to intervene promptly.
After receiving the green light from the competent authorities, the man's body was subsequently recovered in a joint operation involving the CNSAS (National National Rescue Service), the Guardia di Finanza (Financial Police) Alpine Rescue Team, firefighters, Carabinieri, and local civil defense. Finally, the body was handed over to the funeral home for the necessary formalities.
