This morning, at Capua, a 47-year-old man escaped from the health care facility where he had been placed under house arrest.
The man, detained for drug-related crimes and robbery, managed to escape before the carabinieri could carry out the check. After leaving all his personal effects in his room, the man left the facility, disappearing without a trace.
The Carabinieri immediately began their search and managed to intercept him a few hours later while he was trying to hide in the streets of the city centre.

The man was arrested and taken back to the detention facility, at the disposal of the judicial authorities. He will now have to answer for the crime of escape.
