It happened to Capua, in the province of Caserta where the author, a 46 year old Napoli, was arrested by the police.

The victim herself, a 45-year-old local woman, asked for the intervention of the military. When the military arrived on the scene, they found the woman locked in her car, a Fiat Panda, where she had taken refuge to escape the wrath of her ex-partner, who was clearly agitated and in the throes of a panic attack.

At the sight of the police, the victim got out of the car and indicated her ex-husband as the perpetrator of the attack, who quickly tried to walk away into the surrounding countryside.

The woman reported that shortly before the man had threatened to kill her and attacked her with a glass bottle which, in an attempt to hit her, he had thrown against the windshield of the vehicle, shattering it.

The man, in an evident state of psychophysical alteration due to alcohol abuse, was immediately reached and stopped by the carabinieri, even though he tried to resist by pushing and shoving.

The arrested man was sent to the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison.

The victim, on January 2nd, had already formalized another complaint/report for personal injuries and mistreatment in the family at the Carabinieri station in Capua. During the complaint, it emerged that the woman had been subjected to violence and mistreatment for over 10 years and that for about 2 years, the date of the separation, such attacks had become increasingly frequent.
