A start to the year marked by safety and legality for the city of Caserta, where the 20 patrols of the Station and the Operational and Radiomobile Unit employed by the local Carabinieri Company between the night of December 31st and yesterday made it possible to report, in a state of freedom, five people held responsible respectively for evading house arrest, receiving stolen goods, illegal possession of weapons or objects capable of causing offence and possession of narcotics.
The two young men, of Tunisian nationality, reported for receiving stolen goods were caught on board a moped and in possession of a smartphone, both proceeds of a robbery that occurred a few hours earlier to the detriment of a young woman. Their location was possible, following the complaint filed by the victim, thanks to the geolocation of the GPS device present in the phone. The recovered vehicle and smartphone were returned to their rightful owners.
The minor stopped on the street for a check and found in possession of a switchblade will have to answer for illegal possession of weapons. The weapon was promptly seized. The particular service also allowed 100 people to be identified and 80 cars to be checked, with 18 traffic violations issued for a total amount of €17.750,00 and 10 vehicles seized.
