Caserta, vacuum cleaner scam: 40-year-old on trial

Deputy Prosecutor of the Sammaritana Public Prosecutor's Office, Dr. Antonio D'Amato, has indicted Michela Busico, 40, of Bellona, ​​defended by the lawyer Pasquale Casoria, for the crime of aggravated fraud and impersonation.

The lady, acting as a salesperson on behalf of the company Vorwerk Italia sas, used artifice and deception to compile an order proposal for a "Folletto" vacuum cleaner using VM R data, misleading the company's staff as to the authenticity of the order and the injured party, making them believe it was a mistake.

And in this way he obtained the unfair profit represented by the payment of commissions connected to the sale of the vacuum cleaner, with equal damage to the company, which was not paid the sum of €500,00 in balance of the amount corresponding to the selling price of the appliance.

And therefore, to commit the crime of fraud, he misled the staff of Vorwerk Italia sas regarding the authenticity of the order he filled out by improperly using VMR's personal details and ensuring that the latter appeared to be the contractor.

And he also sent to trial the same Michela Busico who, through artifice and deception consisting in offering DNF two vacuum cleaners for sale at a convenient price, misled the injured party as to the goodness of the offer and thus obtained an unfair profit equal to the sum of €600 which she had delivered in cash, with equal damage to the injured party to whom no product was delivered nor was the sum paid returned.

The trial originated from the complaint filed by the injured parties through their lawyers Raffaele and Gaetano Crisileo who will be a civil party in the trial in the interest of their clients for the events that occurred in Capua two years ago.
