Photos of the Casina Vanvitelliana in Bacoli built with 30 Lego bricks are making the rounds on the web.
It is being created by Luca Petraglia, a Lego artist who has already built many monuments on the Italian peninsula – including the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, the Duomo in Milan, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, Giotto's Bell Tower in Florence – and the Casina Vanvitelliana itself, but on a smaller scale than the current one, with 23 thousand bricks.
The mayor of bacoli, Josi Gerardo Della Ragione is enthusiastic about the realization and wrote on Facebook: “It's already beautiful! The construction of the Casina Vanvitelliana in Lego has begun. It will be made up of 30.000 bricks. And it will stand alongside the Tower of Pisa and the Duomo of Milan. Our Real Casino Borbonico is about to become one of the main attractions in Lego in Italy. It is being built by Luca Petraglia, one of the most famous builders in the world of works of art in Lego bricks. It is his first big challenge of the new year”.
“We are honored that the builder's commitment and ingenuity has been directed towards Bacoli's jewel.

Luca Petraglia: “The most complicated Lego project to realize”
Two years ago, after having built the first version of the Casina Vanvitelliana, Luca Petraglia wrote: “La Casina vanvitelliana is an all-Italian pearl, located on a small island on Lake Fusaro in Bacoli, Naples. The architect Vanvitelli decided to give it a particular shape made of 3 concentric dodecagons, it was certainly the most complicated Lego project for me to realize”.
