It all begins in the Ikea store parking lot, where three people in an Alfa 159 attract the attention of an off-duty Carabinieri officer. The officer approaches and is threatened, but the three realize it's best to leave. Aware that other Carabinieri officers might question them, they decide to flee, accelerating the car.
The Carabinieri alerted the operations center, initiating the pursuit. The first to intervene were the Carabinieri from the Arpino station.
