DAfter two months on the run, a 36-year-old individual originally from was captured Casoria, in the province of Naples, who had committed sexual and physical violence against his ex-wife and mistreatment of his minor son.
The operation was conducted by the Carabinieri of the Aversa Company with the support of the Carabinieri of the San Severo Company, in the province of Foggia, who identified the man in the aforementioned province.
The arrest was made in compliance with a 5-year prison order issued following an investigation led by the Naples North Prosecutor's Office. The charges relate to incidents of mistreatment and sexual violence that occurred between 2016 and 2020 in the provinces of Caserta and Naples.
The 36-year-old had disappeared from the sight of the authorities since November 28, 2023, when the personnel of the Arma had gone to his residence to notify the restrictive measure.
The complaint for mistreatment was filed by the woman in 2020 at the Carabinieri Station of Frignano, describing the physical and psychological violence suffered by her violent and aggressive husband.
The harassment had been taking place since 2016 and continued even after the victim had left the marital home to move into her parents' home together with her minor son, who was also a victim of the violence.
The death threats continued through phone calls from people close to the husband, even though he was aware of the restrictive measure issued against him.
The man was identified at the home of his current partner in the province of Foggia and subsequently transferred to the District Prison of the same location. The Prosecutor's Office of Naples North led the entire operation, as stated by the prosecutor Maria Antonietta Troncone.
