The Guardia di Finanza has seized three areas in the Municipality of Castel Volturno due to illegal and uncontrolled collection of waste, including hazardous waste.
During their intervention, the Guardia di Finanza discovered considerable deposits of various types of waste abandoned on two farmland plots and along a stretch of elevated road, near Via Occidentale.
These materials included textile and construction waste, furniture and household appliance remains, car parts, tires, plastic waste and cardboard, which had been piled up by unknown persons.

Consequently, the authorities promptly proceeded to seize these areas for a total extension of 3.500 square meters in order to prevent further waste dumping and to avoid potential fire risks.
