The investigations, started immediately after the events, allowed to reconstruct the very serious episode and to ascertain that the suspect, that evening, in collaboration with a woman who is not yet identified, inside the Emergency Room of the hospital in Castellammare di Stabia, had attacked one of the two nurses, hitting her with a very violent punch in the face, causing her serious injuries with permanent weakening of the masticatory organ, in particular causing the fracture of an incisor, the breaking of four other teeth, the infraction of the nasal bones and swelling of the face.
The man demanded that they dedicate themselves exclusively to the care of one of his relatives.
Furthermore, the man, together with a woman who is being identified, also allegedly attacked the other nurse, the sister of the first victim, causing her a head injury.
The investigation revealed that the suspect—identified by both victims and a security guard working at the hospital—had demanded that the nurses devote themselves exclusively to the care of one of his relatives, admitted to the hospital's emergency room, neglecting to assist other patients present. When the victims refused, motivated solely by the need to provide adequate care to the numerous other patients, he attacked them in a sudden and gratuitous outburst of violence.
Following the formal procedures, the person receiving the precautionary measure will be sent to the Naples-Poggioreale District Prison, at the disposal of the Judicial Authority.
