Last night, an attack shook the San Leonardo hospital in Castellammare di Stabia, in the province of Naples.
A nurse working in the emergency room was the victim of violence, being pushed, dragged by her hair, thrown to the ground and finally punched in the face by the relatives of a patient treated in the yellow-red code room due to breathing problems.
The attack was sparked, as reported by the ASL Napoli 3 Sud, by a simple invitation to the numerous relatives present to move to the waiting room, thus allowing the staff to focus on caring for the patients.
The consequences for the nurse are serious: a fracture of the upper right medial incisor, a fracture of the nasal bones, a lacerated wound on the upper lip, sutured with an absorbable stitch, significant swelling on the right side of the face, post-traumatic lumbago and a state of severe psychomotor agitation.
