Young Egyptian arrested in Castellammare di Stabia for throwing stones at the Carabinieri A 23-year-old young man of Egyptian origins and without a fixed abode was arrested by the Carabinieri of the mobile radio section of Castellammare di Stabia.
The reason for the arrest is illegal possession of weapons and resisting a public official. The situation emerged after several reports to 112 regarding a man who was throwing stones at cars along state road 145 the previous evening.
The military responded promptly and located the young man, who had damaged the windshield of a car with a stone. In addition, the 23-year-old threw a stone at the Carabinieri patrol.
While trying to stop the man, the latter reacted violently, kicking one of the carabinieri in the head. After a brief struggle, the young man was stopped and arrested.
During the personal search, the carabinieri found several illegal weapons on the young man, including a butterfly knife in the sleeve of his tracksuit, a chisel, a blade without a handle, fragments of glass and various pieces of rusty and sharp iron.
After his arrest, the young man was held in the barracks awaiting trial. In the meantime, the injured carabiniere received an eight-day prognosis for his injuries. The young man is accused of throwing stones at cars, attempted assault on carabinieri and illegal possession of cutting weapons.
