In Raffaele Cinque's cell phone: the names or the name of the killer. The men of the Naples mobile squad who are investigating together with the agents of the police station have analyzed the chats and messages of the 51 year old killed last night in San Pietro a Patierno.
The victim's relatives were also heard, and in the commotion of the shots, Cinque's screams, they may have seen something and therefore the turning point in the investigation could happen soon. One thing is certain, it was an execution in full Gomorrah style, with a motive still to be deciphered and one certainty: the designated victim had to die at all costs.
Investigators found eight shell casings from a 7,65 caliber pistol found inside the apartment. This would therefore confirm that a single firearm was fired, but investigators led by the head of the Mobile Squad, Alfredo Fabbrocino, do not exclude that there were 2 or more people who entered Raffaele Cinque's house in via dello Scirocco.
No shell casings were found along the road and it is too early to say whether one or more bullets may have hit the body of the 50-year-old with a criminal record for theft, extortion and attempted murder.
The investigations will therefore focus on why Raffaele Cinque was killed. However, investigators have already ascertained that the killers entered the house by making the door open, probably because they knew the victim well.
They shot him and chased him even when Cinque, in a desperate attempt to escape, went out onto the balcony and jumped into the void from the second floor. And then they finished him off by shooting him from above. According to what emerged from the initial investigations of the Flying Squad of Napoli, coordinated by Alfredo Fabbrocini, the victim attempted to escape by throwing himself from the balcony on the second floor of the building where he lived.
The hitman – or hitmen – fired at least eight shots from a 7×65 caliber pistol, the last two when Cinque had already thrown himself down, according to what emerged from the findings conducted by the men of the Scientific Police.
Specialized in the theft of cars and motorcycles with the "return horse" technique
The man is considered a small-time criminal, but still orbiting in the environment of Contini clan, a high-ranking criminal federation association called Secondigliano alliance: he has previous convictions for property crimes such as theft, a “return horse” and other similar offences.
Investigators are now trying to understand if it is possible to extract useful elements from the images of the surveillance cameras in the area and by analyzing Cinque's cell phone among messages and phone calls in the last hours preceding his death.
The investigators, however, do not give excessive importance to his alleged closeness to the Contini clan, of which he was not considered a significant element. Nor is his name linked in any way to the latest bloody events in the city involving members of the clans of the historic center.
