Investigations closed for four inmates of the prison of Santa Maria Capua Vetere , who last August, following an operation by the Penitentiary Police, were found in possession of cell phones that were not permitted for speaking to the outside world.
Within a few months, the Prosecutor's Office, led by Pierpaolo Bruni, closed the investigation by sending a notice of closure to the suspects, who now have twenty days to request questioning (including defense attorney Angelo Librace), otherwise the Prosecutor's Office can request a committal for trial. This isn't the first time something like this has happened in Santa Maria Capua Vetere.
Similar cases have occurred in other prisons in Campania, where investigations have been launched that have led to the discovery of smartphones, drones and narcotics, in addition to other prohibited and regularly seized objects.
