From January 10 to February 7, 2024 in the Sala Moliére theater in Pozzuoli.
In addition to the Award dedicated to the memory of Cetty Sommella, this year's novelty is the institution of the Award for best editing dedicated to Raimondo Cruciani, who recently passed away.
The fourth edition of “Cinemagma”, the independent film festival selected by film historian Giuseppe Borrone, will take place every Wednesday from January 10 to February 7, from 20.30:21 pm, in the Sala Molière theatre in Pozzuoli, directed by Nando Paone (Viale Bognar, 16, near the Pozzuoli/Solfatara metro station). During the first four evenings, the XNUMX short films will be presented until the final awards ceremony.
As recalled in the title of the festival, inspired by the natural element symbol of Pozzuoli and of a volcanic land like the Campi Flegrei, underground films flow under the surface of mainstream cinema, pushing to intercept their potential recipients. The aim of the initiative is to offer a showcase and a space of visibility to emerging directors and authors with an innovative gaze.
The technical jury is chaired by the director Luca Miniero (Welcome to the South, Neapolitan Enchantment, No Messages on the Answering Machine, I'm Back, A Boss in the Living Room, The Investigations of Lolita Lobosco) and is composed of: Enrica Good morning, journalist; alberto castellano, film critic and essayist; Adele Gallo, casting director; Gianfelice Learned, actor.
The award for best short film, best actor and best actress will be given, in memory of Cetty Sommella.
New to the fourth edition is the institution of the award for best editing, dedicated to Raimondo Cruciani, who recently passed away. In his long career, Cruciani collaborated with the most important Italian directors, and in particular Ettore Scola, signing the editing of cult films such as We All Loved Each Other So Much, A Special Day, Dancing Dancing, for which he won the David di Donatello. The spectators present in the room will also be protagonists, who will award the audience award with their vote.
All screenings will be accompanied by debates and interviews with the protagonists, invited to discuss the themes addressed in the films with the audience. Admission is free, subject to availability. Priority access to spectators with a reservation, to be requested by sending a WhatsApp message to the number 377.0888.569.
