The ancient instrument will be placed on the main altar of the Church of Santa Caterina da Siena: through new harmonic blends and the encounter of its sounds with singing and with instruments such as the harp, the violin, the harpsichord and the percussions, the sound range of the ancient pipes and the beauty of its registers will be highlighted, an expression of the musical richness of this splendid instrument.

The concert, which seals a closer cooperation between the Pietà dei Turchini Foundation and the Margherita di Savoia Music High School in Naples, will be an opportunity to listen to the beauty and musical variety of Baroque Christmas in Naples through a selection of pieces by Scarlatti, Zipoli, Corelli, Caresana and S. Alfonso Maria de' Liguori, performed by the singing and musical instrument students of the historic Neapolitan institute. The collaboration, supported by Federica Castaldo, president and artistic director of the Pietà dei Turchini Foundation, by Vincenzo Varriale, headmaster of the Margherita di Savoia High School and by the teaching staff, aims to be a new, positive omen for the growing awareness and knowledge of the rich Neapolitan and European musical heritage.
