Water supply suspended in 27 municipalities in the provinces of Avellino and Benevento, due to a broken pipeline. This was announced by Alto Calore Servizi, a drinking water distribution, sewerage, and wastewater treatment company formed by the 126 municipalities in the provinces of Avellino and Benevento and the Provincial Administration of Avellino.
The break occurred on the DN 800 supply pipeline in the Villamaina area. "Work is ongoing," Alto Calore Servizi assures, "so there may be disruptions to the water supply this afternoon or evening, due to the duration of the ongoing repair work, which is expected to be completed this evening."
The municipalities affected by water supply disruptions are: Ariano Irpino, Torella dei Lombardi, Villamaina, Gesualdo, Grottaminarda, Sturno, Melito Irpino, Montecalvo Irpino, Savignano Irpino, Greci, Villanova del Battista, Fontanarosa, Flumeri, Mirabella Eclano, Frigento, Bonito, Apice, Paduli, Pietrelcina, Sant'Arcangelo Trimonte, Pesco Sannita, Pago Veiano, Reino, Casalduni, Fragneto Monforte, Campolattaro, and Pontelandolfo.
