Carabinieri checks in Ischia : maximum caution is required near ferry and hydrofoil landings. It was at the island's tourist port that officers from the local company recorded the first results of an operation that resulted in three reports for three separate incidents.
The first involved a 68-year-old man , who was carrying two identity documents in the names of other people and three ATM cards belonging to three different account holders. The cards and documents were reported lost. The man was charged and recommended for mandatory expulsion orders.
A 53-year-old Neapolitan man , owner of a property in the municipality of Forio, will be charged with illegal construction . In an area subject to landscape and environmental restrictions, he had built a structure of approximately 300 square meters, surrounded by 25-meter-long walls. The structure and land have been seized.
A 55-year-old man from Forio has been charged with damage and attempted attack on a public utility. According to the Carabinieri's reconstruction, the man allegedly damaged a repeater tower containing radio and telephone lines on three separate occasions. For reasons yet to be determined, he allegedly cut the power cables using specialized tools, which were later recovered and seized.
