"The phenomenon of nightlife should not be demonized but governed." This was declared by the Councillor for Municipal Police and Legality of the Municipality of Napoli Antonio De Iesu, who spoke about the nightlife issue and the application of urban safety regulations.
"A national standard from 2004 - recalls De Iesu - It has liberalized the ability of entrepreneurs to open public establishments for the sale of alcoholic beverages and beverages, depriving the Municipality of the ability to govern these openings according to parameters that also and above all take into account the residential character of the places where these establishments operate. We, along with Councilor Armato, have already adopted a resolution that allows us to freeze the opening of new establishments for the next three years.

Next January 22st "we will have a meeting with the SUAP, with the councilor Armato and with the municipal police - concludes De Iesu - To take stock of the situation and verify the application of this regulation, so that we can send a signal to public establishment owners who don't follow the rules and aren't committed to finding the right balance, that we will rigorously apply the sanctions provided for by the urban safety regulation."
