Hard times for the Circumvesuviana. This time the president of the Campania Region himself admits it.
In the usual Facebook live on Friday, De Luca explained that "we have a situation of suffering in the Circumvesuviana". Reason: "The company that was supposed to build the new trains, Adler, is asking for an extension because it can't find the railway material."
In other words, no new train will arrive anytime soon, so the disruption will remain unchanged. "Unfortunately, we're in a very complicated period, which has made even building new trains more complicated.", De Luca admitted.

The President of the Campania Region then explained that the least painless way is to reach a mediation with Adler, because terminating the contract for a problem not strictly connected to the company would mean having to repeat another tender and so "another four years go by."
So, also to silence any stomach aches, De Luca relaunched: "If anyone has a quicker solution, please share it with us. We're always ready to learn."
