“This municipal administration is only distinguished by its announcements, but in reality, school assistance for disabled students attending primary and secondary schools has not yet started. Can we understand why?” The MEP says this in a note Clear Gemma (Fdi-Ecr), who will participate in tomorrow at 9.30 piazza Vanvitelli a Caserta at the rally of parents of children with disabilities together with the Fdi municipal councilor Pasquale Napoletano.
“Families are desperate, forced to rush to help their children at school because there is no one other than teachers who can help disabled children”, says Napoletano, who has presented a motion to understand the reasons for this four-month delay. “Families want to know the truth – insists Gemma – the funds are there, why delay school assistance for disabled students? A service that was supposed to start in September for over a thousand students. I remember that the Social Area C01 – Caserta Regional District, which includes the Municipalities of Caserta, Casagiove, Castel Morrone and San Nicola La Strada, had communicated two weeks ago that the assistance service would start on January 22nd”.
"Ten days later we are still starving for information, there is a lack of respect for the families of disabled children, would it be the least we could ask from the Municipality of Caserta at least for an answer? I will bring this enormous disservice to the attention of my party colleagues and I will be the voice of these families", concluded the MEP.
