Sentenced to life in prison for killing and setting fire to his Ukrainian partner. This is Dmytro Trembach, 27, found guilty of the murder of his compatriot Anastasiia Bondarenko, 23.
The fact dates back to March 2022, when the young woman, who had just arrived in Italy two months earlier, died in a fire in her apartment in Vico Sant'Antonio Abate, in the Borgo Sant'Antonio district of Naples.
According to the investigation coordinated by public prosecutors Luigi Santulli and Daniela Varone, Trembach, who was the victim's partner, set the fire, causing Bondarenko's death and trapping his 5-year-old daughter in the bathroom.
The little girl was fortunately saved by a roommate, and the judge of the third section of the Naples Assize Court who issued the sentence also established a provisional compensation of 100.000 euros for the little girl.
