Concetta Russo, 45, was a teacher in Pastigliate, in the province of Milan. She died during New Year's Eve celebrations in Afragola, in the province of Naples.
The 45-year-old was on holiday at a family home. From the initial investigations and surveys carried out by the Carabinieri of Afragola and the investigative unit of Castello di Cisterna, coordinated by the Prosecutor's Office of North Naples, it emerged that the fatal gunshot to the woman was fired right inside the apartment.
A .380 caliber bullet was seized from the residence. The investigation is ongoing and is still searching for the weapon and determining who may have fired it.

The woman leaves behind a husband and two adult children. Her family is well known in the area because they have been involved in youth football activities for years.

The Carabinieri are currently questioning all those present at the time of the shooting and have already subjected some of them to a body examination.
While awaiting further evidence, work continues to identify the shooter and to determine whether the weapon was legally owned.
