Moments of great fear a Cinto, in the province of Venice: a man threw his daughter, a girl of only five years old, from the terrace on the first floor of their home. Immediately after, he attempted suicide by jumping off the same terrace.
The man, separated from his wife, had custody of the little girl during the Christmas holidays. Miraculously, the little girl remained conscious despite the horror of the fall and was promptly airlifted to Treviso hospital due to a head injury.
His condition undoubtedly raises concerns about his health and the emotional trauma he has endured. The man, however, was unharmed after the attempted suicide and was immediately arrested on charges of attempted murder. Authorities are now investigating the circumstances of the incident, trying to understand the motives that may have driven the man to commit this terrible act.
