In Giugliano in Campania, the Carabinieri of the radiomobile section arrested a 24-year-old and a 21-year-old, both with no criminal record, for aggravated theft in competition and damage. The two young men are originally from Scampia and Pozzuoli.
The military stopped the suspects as they were driving along via Lago Patria in a Fiat Ducato. Their anxious attitude prompted a more thorough check. A crowbar, a screwdriver and a mechanic's wrench were found in the rear compartment of the vehicle, along with construction material intended for external scaffolding.
Although the detainees tried to convince the military by talking about alleged work activities in the construction field, the Carabinieri decided to investigate further.

The investigation revealed that the material had been stolen shortly before by unknown persons, who had forced open the entrance gate to the construction site located in the “Giovanni Falcone” Agricultural School in via Domitiana 150.
The goods, worth 15 thousand euros, were returned to the director of the construction site. Currently, the arrested are awaiting trial.
