More than celebrations. On New Year's Eve, in an area of Lump Nevano, it was an opportunity to launch a real attack, a revenge, with firecrackers against a bar.
The owner of the business himself told the story to the Green-Left alliance MP Francesco Emilio Borrelli:
“On the night between December 31st and January 1st, a group of young people had the brilliant idea of setting off fireworks near my bar. I've had disagreements with some of them for years; they're known to law enforcement, and I have a pending lawsuit against them. Around closing time, my business was hit by three firecrackers, which shattered the gazebo outside.”

“First of all, these individuals must be identified and stopped,” Borrelli declared. “Furthermore, this is yet another episode that demonstrates how dangerous firecrackers can be, especially in the hands of demented, criminals.
This is why we need stricter regulations to stop their use. We've been waiting for them for years. Meanwhile, if the bar owner's complaint is confirmed, we expect very harsh action from law enforcement and the judiciary."
