In the vicinity of his home, a man of Laurel, a locality in the province of Avellino, recently recovered and saved a young “white” owl, which had fallen from its nest and had not yet acquired the necessary skills to take flight.
The man, immediately after making the discovery, promptly reported the incident to the veterinary staff of the Local Health Authority of Baiano for the necessary recovery and rescue operations. The conditions of the small bird of prey were found to be in excellent health.
With care and attention, the owl was quickly entrusted to the care of the Wildlife Recovery Centre of Napoli who will take care of the case. Here, in fact, the young bird will be cared for and treated before being reintegrated into its natural environment.
