A massacre was narrowly avoided during the night in Salita Mauro, 26 in the historic and characteristic Neapolitan neighborhood of Sanità.
The driver of an ambulance on emergency duty while going down in the area of the Mauro stairs, parallel to the Scudillo climb, did not realize that he would not be able to pass because the parked cars had narrowed the roadway.
But because of the speed it dragged them away, the impact caused a fire to develop.
There was a lot of fear and chaos, fortunately no injuries. Firefighters were on site to put out the flames and law enforcement officers were on site to make surveys and interview witnesses.
An investigation has been opened into the incident.
