In the early afternoon, a fire broke out in a clothing warehouse located inside the Pastore Park, near the Agnano Hippodrome, in Naples.
The news was reported by the deputy of Alleanza Verdi Sinistra, Francesco Emilio Borrelli, who is following the developments of the accident after receiving images of the flames. The high flames have invaded the warehouses, generating a dense cloud of black smoke in the surrounding area.
The firefighters' tankers arrived promptly on site and, with the support of the Hippodrome staff, managed to put out the fire. The latter provided the tankers usually used for the track. No injuries were reported in the event.
Francesco Emilio Borrelli stressed the importance of immediately investigating the origin of the fire and verifying any damage or dangers to the neighboring homes and to the animals housed in the hippodrome.
He also expressed gratitude towards the staff of the Hippodrome of Agnano, which acted promptly to support the firefighters by providing resources and personnel to contain the spread of the flames. Borrelli defined this collaboration as a precious gesture of responsibility in response to an emergency of this magnitude.
Similarly, Pasquale Infimo, who spoke together with his colleagues from the Hippodrome, highlighted the promptness of action in making the firefighters available the tankers normally used for the race track.
He said it was a duty to provide assistance in an emergency of such gravity, while simultaneously protecting the safety of the people and horses present in the facility.
