Last night, around 2:00 a.m., a violent fire devastated the depot of a transport company in Pastorano ( Caserta ), destroying eight buses . The alarm was raised by residents in the area, who noticed smoke coming from an area designated for bus parking.
A team of firefighters from the Caserta provincial command , arriving from headquarters, promptly responded to Via Latina. Upon arriving on the scene, firefighters encountered a fire involving several buses inside a warehouse measuring approximately 1.800 square meters. The severity of the situation required the deployment of additional resources, with a team from the Teano fire department and the assistance of two fire engines: one from Aversa and the other from the command headquarters.
The extinguishing operations required considerable efforts and lasted for about five hours, during which the eight buses involved in the fire were completely destroyed. Authorities are currently conducting thorough investigations to determine the cause of the fire, with particular attention to the possibility of arson.
