Anti-mafia interdictions are recording an increase after the decrease recorded in 2022.
Over the past year, prefects issued 2.007 measures to block the ties of companies suspected of being involved with organized crime, a sharp increase from the 1.495 of the previous year. This represents a 34,2% increase, and a 30,2% increase compared to 2019.
These data come from the Ministry of the Interior, are about to be published, and were previewed by Il Sole 24 Ore.
In particular, there is an increase of 32,5% in anti-mafia interdictory communications and 36,3% in interdictory information. The latter represent a discretionary assessment of the risk of infiltration carried out by the prefecture, focused on companies considered at risk of conditioning beyond their relationships with the Public Administration.
