Two young expert thieves from Napoli they reached Avellino on board a rented car with the intent of committing thefts.
After having stolen an Audi parked in the centre of Avellino, they were intercepted by a patrol of the Carabinieri engaged in a patrol.
The two young men, aged 24 and 26, were stopped and arrested while trying to flee on foot. In the meantime, a third accomplice aged 17 was reported to the Juvenile Court of Naples while he was preparing to recover another car for the group.
During the search, a flex, several control units from stolen vehicles, seven smartphones and various burglary tools were confiscated.
The two young men, already known to the authorities for previous criminal convictions, were transferred to prison in Avellino.
