The Carabinieri of the Sant'Angelo dei Lombardi Company, at the end of the search activities for an elderly man whose disappearance had been reported shortly before by his family, have reported him at liberty to the Public Prosecutor's Office Avellino a Romanian citizen residing in Lioni, seriously suspected of the crimes of concealment of a corpse and failure to provide assistance.
The incident occurred in Lioni, where the military personnel of the local station, after receiving the elderly man's missing person report in the late afternoon, reconstructed the man's movements and went to the home of a Romanian woman.

Upon entering the home, officers found the elderly man's lifeless body lying on the floor. During subsequent investigations, it emerged that the man had died during the morning, likely due to a collapse, and that the woman, rather than calling for help to resuscitate him, had hidden the body inside her home until it was discovered.
The Prosecutor's Office, after the coroner's examination of the body, ordered an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
