Specialized in thefts and robberies, violent people linked to the Camorra clans of Naples arrested in Lusciano in the province of Caserta and framed after committing a robbery and injuring an engaged couple secluded in a car.
Six people (three in prison, two under house arrest and one subject to the obligation to report daily to the Judicial Police), all Neapolitans aged between 22 and 40. They are accused of aggravated robbery and aggravated personal injury through the use of weapons, as well as carrying and illegal possession of a firearm and drug dealing.
They were arrested by the Carabinieri of the Operational Section of the Aversa Company , with the help of the personnel of the Lusciano Carabinieri Station who executed an order issued by the GIP of the Court of Naples North, at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Naples North.
The investigation began following a violent robbery that took place on June 5, 2022 in Lusciano, in which two individuals on a scooter threatened a young couple inside their car, forcing them to hand over a Rolex watch and gold objects. During the action, the robbers opened fire, wounding both passengers before fleeing with the loot.
Subsequent investigations yielded important evidence through the analysis of the recordings and chronology of the vehicles filmed by the video surveillance cameras along the victims' route, as well as through the verification of the movements and ownership of the scooter used during the robbery.
Subsequently, a comparison was made of the images of the robbers captured by the cameras with those of a young man who was travelling as a passenger on another scooter that had passed through the Giugliano area a few days before the robbery.
Further investigative activities, such as wiretaps and observation, control and shadowing services, allowed us to reconstruct the criminal context in which the suspects operated, which was characterised by the commission of robberies of Rolex watches and drug dealing, as well as involvement in criminal activities linked to organised crime in Naples.
The investigations also revealed the planning of a murder against a member of a rival clan, to be carried out with illegally held automatic weapons. Thanks to the timely intervention of the Carabinieri of the Aversa Operations Section, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office of Naples North, the arrest of the two suspects interrupted the murder plan and provided further elements for the reconstruction of the robbery.
The investigations, in fact, revealing close relationships between the suspects and criminal circles, received a further boost when the intercepted conversations revealed the planning of a murder against a member of a rival clan, to be carried out with the use of clandestinely held automatic weapons.
During the searches, a .38 caliber pistol was found in the hotel room where the two arrested men usually stayed (which turned out to be the same one used during the robbery), as well as the motorcycle and helmet used by the robbers, filmed by the cameras and found in the hotel parking lot.
Furthermore, computer checks were carried out on the smartphones of the suspects, which confirmed the initial investigative findings on the identification of those responsible for the robbery.
