The fight against the Yellow Flames continues forgery and the spread of unsafe products in the province of Salerno: this time the financial police targeted a commercial establishment in Salese. In particular, the Guardia di Finanza of Sala Consilina, after targeted inspections, identified a warehouse in Vallo di Diano that had set up a large part of the shop with multiple stationery items, clothing accessories and household items, unsafe and potentially dangerous for the health of customers.
In fact, upon closer examination, numerous products were found not to comply with the provisions of the Consumer Code, as they lacked the minimum identifying information, such as data relating to the manufacturer/importer, the country of origin, the nature of the materials used for their production, which by law must be present on the packaging or on the respective labels, in a visible, legible manner and in Italian.
It is important to remember that the use of such wording guarantees the final consumer awareness of the quality of the product he is about to purchase and, above all, its use in complete safety. The 15.000 irregular products were subjected to administrative seizure; the owner of the business, however, was reported to the competent Chamber of Commerce, and now risks a fine ranging from a minimum of 516 euros to a maximum of 25.833 euros.
